AM-8100 is a single-loop multimicroprocessor Fire Detection Control Panel, suitable for medium-sized plant configurations. Connectivity is now native. A hardware key enables communication to monitoring and supervisory systems, so you are free to manage your plant with Honeywell CLSS - Connected Life Safety Services, either from a local network location via Notifier supervisory systems, or using the SDK package.

The AM-8100 is certified in accordance with the UNI EN 54-2, UNI EN 54-4 reference standards. It has the Advanced communication protocol to field devices, but each line can also be configured as "CLIP mode" for full compatibility to older generation devices. Through the Advanced protocol, addressable devices are now able to operate more intelligently such as, for example: changing sound type and volume on sirens according to particular events, activating siren and beacon separately on the same physical device, receiving and displaying data such as the battery level of wireless sensors on the control panel screen.

User Interface: The ergonomic user interface of the color LCD Touch display is designed so that every operation is easy and intuitive. The control panel has a 7" TFT touch display (800 x 480 with backlight) and 256 colors for entering control panel programming data and interacting with operators. All functions are available with access to the 4 password levels as defined by EN 54-2 standards. Through dedicated buttons on the touch screen there is simplified access to the following functions: Evacuation, Reset Delays, Silencing.

Detection Lines: based on Notifier's proven Loop technology to connect devices in the field, an advanced protocol concept is added to share information. This digital protocol transfers much more information at high speed, yet retains the simplicity of being able to power and communicate with devices via a pair of wires. In its basic configuration, the control panel has 1 line for addressing up to 159 detectors and 159 modules.

Device addressing on the line: Set via rotary-switches on the addressed devices. On the line programmed in CLIP mode, addresses 1 ÷ 99 can be assigned. On the line programmed in ADVANCED mode, addresses range from 1 to 159. In an ADVANCED line, multiple modules (e.g., M721 with 2 inputs and 1 output) occupy only 1 Address of the 159 available and a few SUB-ADDRESSES, one for each module that makes up the device. The same module in a line in CLIP occupies 3 consecutive addresses of the 99 available for the modules.

Zones: Serve as a basic indication to identify the location of an event, as outlined in EN 54-2. The control panel makes 500 Zones available, Up to 32 points can be associated with each zone.

Remote Displays: Up to 32 remote displays with Color Touch model LCD-8200 can be connected to each control panel via an opto-isolated RS-485 two-wire serial line.

Up to 16 of these terminals can be configured to display partial events of up to 64 zones (typically used as floor or sector displays in Hotels and Hospitals) while 16 repeat all events of the entire system.

Key features:

  • 4 total access levels in accordance with EN 54 standards.
  • Programmable scripts: point: 32 characters; zones: 32 characters
  • 500 Zones / 400 Logical Groups
  • CBE (Control-by event) control equations for activations with logical operators (AND, OR, DEL, etc.)
  • Historical archive from 32000 events residing in non-volatile memory
  • Real-time clock
  • Auto-programming lines with automatic device pattern recognition
  • Decision algorithms for alarm, pre-alarm and fault criteria
  • Automatic Day/Night sensitivity switching
  • Signaling of need for sensor cleaning
  • Programmable alarm threshold for sensors
  • Walk-Test function for zones
