The Ajax DomeCam Mini HL IP 5MP with 4 mm optics is designed for those who want a more "selective" shot compared to wide-angle lenses: the 85° horizontal viewing angle offers a focused view on entrances, corridors, walkways, or sensitive areas, improving the readability of details. The resolution up to 5 MP (2880×1620) ensures sharp images, with the option to choose lower resolutions (4MP, 3MP, 2MP, 0.6MP) to optimize bandwidth and storage based on the project.
4 mm optics and DORI: accurate control over useful distances
The 4 mm f/1.6 lens is ideal when you need to better recognize what is happening at a moderate distance. The declared DORI distances help to understand the effectiveness in the field:

This makes the DomeCam Mini HL suitable for contexts where detail matters, such as driveways, gates, shop windows, cash areas, or restricted zones.
Hybrid HL lighting: IR and white light for true colors even in the dark
The HL version differs from the previous one by the inclusion of integrated white light. The hybrid lighting allows the camera to switch from infrared to white light based on motion detection or object recognition. The advantage is tangible: in addition to night vision, you can obtain color footage in low-light conditions, very useful for identifying details such as vehicle colors, clothing, or critical elements of the scene. The maximum range is up to 15 m for both IR LED and white LED, with the white light also serving as a deterrent.
AI and motion detection: cleaner events, fewer false alarms
The DomeCam Mini HL integrates motion detection through software analysis of frames and adds a higher level with AI recognition of:

- pets
- vehicles
In practice, you can set more relevant recordings and notifications, reducing unnecessary events (such as light variations or insignificant movements) and simplifying video review.
TrueWDR and privacy: consistent quality and control of the frame
TrueWDR technology balances scenes with difficult contrasts (backlight, headlights, strong shadows), improving the readability of details frame by frame. Additionally, in Ajax apps, privacy management is granular: access permissions and masking functions help protect sensitive areas while keeping the system compliant with operational needs.
PoE or 12V: simple and reliable wired installation
For power, you can choose PoE 802.3af/at, reducing cabling and installation time, or a 12 V⎓ power supply.
