Schneider Electric's Altivar 320 variable speed drive is capable of powering 3-phase synchronous and asynchronous power motors with a maximum power rating of 11kilowatts/15cavalent and a voltage rating of 380to 500Vac. This variable speed/frequency drive (VSD / VFD) is designed for simple industrial and commercial machines, such as packaging, material handling machinery, mechanical actuators and lifting devices. Its Book form factor allows for a smaller machine footprint, particularly when mounted in a control cabinet next to other control devices such as PLC, I/O units. Advanced connectivity, including CANopen and Modbus, enables deep integration into automation architectures without the use of additional network equipment.
