Fracarro GES08P PoE+ Switch: network and power for professional IP systems
The Fracarro GES08P switch is the perfect choice for systems where multiple network points are needed and, above all, remote power for devices. With PoE+ you can connect and power equipment such as IP cameras, video door phones, access points, VoIP phones, and access control systems using a single Ethernet cable for each device. This simplifies installation, reduces installation costs, and limits the need for power supplies and outlets near the devices.
Being unmanaged, it is ideal for installers and small offices: no configuration, no VLAN to set up, maximum operational reliability.
Eight PoE+ and 2 Uplink: more devices and a freer backbone
The 8 PoE+ Gigabit ports allow you to power and manage a large number of IP devices without the bandwidth limitations typical of Fast Ethernet networks. The 2 Gigabit Uplink ports are a real advantage: you can connect the switch to the main router/switch and, at the same time, dedicate a second uplink to NVR, backbone, or redundant/secondary connection, keeping the network more organized and efficient.
With performance up to 1 Gbit/s per port and 2 Gbit/s in full duplex, the switch supports multiple video streams and intense data traffic, making it suitable for surveillance systems even with several cameras active simultaneously.
PoE budget 60W: simple power sizing
The PoE budget of 60W indicates the total power available for powering devices connected to the PoE ports. It is a fundamental parameter for designing the system: it allows you to distribute power across the 8 ports based on actual consumption (e.g., standard cameras, compact access points, video door phones). During the quotation phase, simply sum the PoE consumption of the devices and ensure they fall within the total budget to avoid limitations.
PoE Watchdog: H24 reliability for surveillance and access control
