The Vemer VE294500 IRM natural gas detector is a recessed device designed to ensure the safety of domestic and commercial environments. A gas detector is a device designed to make environments safer because, thanks to sensors, it constantly monitors the surrounding air by detecting the presence of natural gas. If the presence of gas is found to be dangerous, the device emits an audible and visual signal. These instruments are used in various contexts, such as in homes, workplaces, laboratories and industries.
Interchangeable faceplates
The faceplate of the gas detector can be changed thanks to: white and charcoal gray faceplates (fitted by default), included in the package. To replace it with the white one, insert the tip of the screwdriver by levering so as to release the 4 locking teeth.
Design
The device has three colored LEDs on the front that indicate three different situations:
- green = presence of power supply
- red = presence of gas alarm
- yellow = presence of a fault
The insert (sensor + electronics) is removable and can be replaced when the sensor's useful life of five years expires by simply pulling it out and replacing it with the appropriate replacement.
There is a button on the front of the device for testing the instrument and silencing the alarm.

The system consists of 3 frames Axo, Chor, Uni that allow the installation of the plates shown above. In particular, the UNI frame depending on the case can be modified by removing some teeth and equipped with some plastic elements to accommodate different plates.
