The Fantini Cosmi P11 Natural Gas Detector is a highly sensitive device designed to detect the presence of hazardous concentrations of Natural gas (CH) or other light gases in domestic or industrial environments. Fantini Cosmi P11 Natural Gas Detector:
The P11 220V is designed to provide safety in environments where there is a risk of natural gas accumulation, such as kitchens, gas heaters, or industrial plants. When natural gas is detected, the device emits a visual signal (red light) and an alarm sound to immediately warn occupants of the danger. If the gas is not removed, the system activates the relay to close the gas shut-off valve, preventing the hazard from turning into a serious accident.
The Fantini Cosmi P11 Detector is equipped with a high-performance semiconductor sensor, capable of detecting minute concentrations of natural gas, and is designed to be easily mounted on a 3-module box either wall-mounted or round. The housing is made of impact-resistant material, ensuring long service life and reliability.

Operation
The Sicurgas sensor, like all sensors currently on the market, while very selective, can also take action for other substances such as, for example, alcohol vapors. During the use of wine in a food preparation, it is possible for the detector to go into alarm: to remedy this inconvenience, Sicurgas is equipped with an alarm silencing switch that can be operated with a pull cord for Sicurgas P11 for gas (mounted at the top 30 cm from the ceiling). N.B. the silencing button must be pressed for at least 1 second. After the silencing button is actuated, there is a no-alarm situation for 10 minutes: the buzzer does not sound, the relay returns to the no-alarm position, and the red and yellow LEDs, flash alternately to indicate the silencing period; acting on the switch again during the 10-minute silencing period, the detector immediately resumes normal operation. After the 10-minute period has elapsed, the detector automatically resumes normal operation. it is therefore possible, knowing that you are going to use substances that may cause a false alarm, to silence the detector in advance to avoid signaling and stove gas shut-off (due to tripping of the gas shut-off valve).
Some of the most common substances that can cause a false alarm: wine, liquor, alcohol, deodorants, stain removers, paint thinners, hairspray, excess water vapor.
The internal relay of Sicurgas P11-P12 can control all types of manually reset valves:

normally closed (NC), always energized, requiring a stable switching relay

normally open (NO), current-throwing, requiring a pulse relay

standards prescribe the use of a manual reset valve to cut off the gas supply when an alarm situation occurs.
The operating mode of the relay is selectable at the time of installation by moving a jumper on the printed circuit board, normally supplied:

for stable relay operation for NC valves (jumper down)

For operation with pulse relay for NO valves (jumper on top).
With normally closed valves, always energized, the system provides maximum safety; in fact, the gas supply will be interrupted in case of:

exceeding the expected gas concentration threshold

lack of general supply voltage either to the valve alone or to the detector

interruption of the connection between detector and valve.
