The Notifier CMA11E-NI is an addressable interface module that integrates 1 input and 1 output in the same enclosure, offering a compact and versatile solution for NOTIFIER fire detection systems. It is compatible with all the brand's addressable control panels, both with CLIP protocol and Advanced protocol, and represents a practical choice for managing technical signals and commands to external devices.

Thanks to microprocessor management, the integrated isolator, and its small size, the module is designed for professional installations where reliability, flexibility, and simplicity of wiring are required. Its compact structure allows it to be housed in B503 type flush-mounted boxes, facilitating integration into new or existing systems.

1 input and 1 output in the same module: compact and versatile solution

The strength of the CMA11E-NI is the combined presence of an input section and an output section in the same device. This configuration allows for optimization of space, wiring, and addressing, proving particularly useful when it is necessary to acquire a field signal and, at the same time, control an external device.

The input module can be used, for example, for reporting technical signals from fire protection devices or for acquiring alarms from non-addressable sensors. The output module, on the other hand, can be used to activate non-addressable optical-acoustic devices, electromagnets, shutter closures, or for resetting the power supply of conventional 24 Vdc detectors.

Compatible with CLIP and Advanced protocols

The module is compatible with all NOTIFIER addressable control panels that use CLIP protocol (1-99) or Advanced protocol (1-159), thus offering wide flexibility of use in fire systems of different generations.

In CLIP protocol, the module occupies two consecutive addresses on the loop: the first associated with the input and the second with the output. In Advanced protocol, however, it occupies a physical address with two consecutive software sub-addresses, one for the input and one for the output. Addressing is done via decimal rotary selectors, making configuration simple during installation.

Supervised output or potential-free relay

The output section of the CMA11E-NI can be configured in two main modes via dip-switch: CON = supervised output for polarized optical/acoustic indicators, and FORC = potential-free relay contact.

This dual possibility makes the module suitable for multiple applications. In the case of the supervised mode, a separate power supply is required for the connected optical-acoustic devices. In relay mode, however, the module can directly control external devices with clean contacts, expanding the possibilities of integration into the system.

Integrated isolator and status management via LED

The module incorporates an isolation device against short circuits, useful for increasing the reliability of the loop and limiting the effects of any faults on the line. When required by the application, the isolator can be excluded via a dedicated jumper.

The status of the device is easily monitored thanks to 2 tricolour LEDs, which indicate both communication with the control panel and the status of the input and output. A remote LED output is also available, useful for repeating the status indication in a different position from the module's installation point.

Loop-powered and high immunity to interference

The Notifier CMA11E-NI is powered directly from the 2-wire loop of the addressable control panel, with an operating voltage between 15 and 30 Vdc. This feature simplifies installation and reduces the need for additional wiring.

The module is designed to ensure high immunity to electromagnetic interference, an important feature in systems installed in technical or industrial environments. The contained absorption in various operating conditions also contributes to efficient management of loop resources.
