A contactor is a device for closing and opening electrical circuits, mostly high voltage circuits, by remote control.
IEC 17-3 defines a contactor (contactor) as a device capable of interrupting or establishing current within a circuit. To do this, the device opens and closes contact channels between the system and the power structure. In short, a kind of switch to be used for all eventualities.
Overview:
- AF190 contactors ... AF370 four-pole are mainly used for controlling non-inductive or slightly inductive loads (e.g., resistance furnaces...) and generally for controlling power circuits up to 1000 VAC and 440 VDC. These contactors have a block design with 4 main poles.
Advantages:
- They can handle wide variations in control voltages
- Reduced switchboard power consumption
- Very distinct closing and opening
- They are able to tolerate short voltage dips and voltage dips (SEMI F47 usage conditions upon request)
- Built-in surge suppression and do not require additional surge protectors
- Additional auxiliary contact blocks with side-mounting and a wide range of accessories.
