The Urmet NVR 1098/428P recorder is designed to create compact yet powerful IP video surveillance systems, perfect for shops, offices, warehouses, condominiums, and advanced homes. Thanks to the 8 integrated PoE ports, you can connect up to 8 compatible IP cameras, powering them directly from the recorder: fewer external power supplies, cleaner cabling, and faster installation.

High-definition recording management is its strong point: it supports streams up to 12MP and 8MP (4K), maintaining a stable platform thanks to the 128 Mbps input and output bandwidth.

Video Quality and Performance: 12MP/4K and Smooth Playback

The 1098/428P supports many resolutions, from 720p up to 4K and 12MP, with recording up to 25 fps per single IP channel (depending on resolution and settings). In playback, it offers high performance for quick analysis: 4K: up to 60 fps, 4MP: up to 120 fps, 2MP: up to 240 fps, Playback 1080p: up to 240 fps (max 8 channels).

These features are useful when you need to quickly search for events, scroll through recordings, and verify details without slowdowns.

H.265/H.265+ Compression: More Days of Recording on the Same Disk

With support for H.265 and H.265+ (in addition to H.264/H.264+), the system significantly reduces the space occupied by videos while maintaining high quality. This is a concrete advantage when recording in 4K or when you want to increase retention (days of recording) without installing large capacity disks.

Intelligent Video Analysis: Advanced Camera-Dependent Functions

The NVR supports numerous analysis functions, including perimeter intrusion, line crossing, stationary object, pedestrian/face detection, counting, video tampering, human & vehicle detection, heat map, crowd/queue detection, abnormal sound, license plate reading, and many others. Important: as indicated, the algorithms are available based on the connected camera model, so the actual level of “AI” depends on the IPCs used.

Storage and Reliability: 2TB HDD Included and S.M.A.R.T. Control

The recorder includes a 2TB hard disk already installed, ready to use. It has 1 HDD slot with support up to 10TB, ideal if you want to increase capacity in the future. The S.M.A.R.T. function helps monitor the disk status and prevent problems, crucial in security systems where recording continuity is essential.
