The Ajax NVR HAC 8-channel 4K recorder is designed to transform a camera system into a complete, stable, and easy-to-use video management system. After the initial setup, the NVR continues to work locally: you can view streams on a screen connected to the HDMI port, even without an Internet connection, a valuable feature for remote sites, warehouses, or businesses where operational continuity is essential.
At the same time, the Ajax apps for smartphones and desktops allow access to footage and manage settings and permissions wherever you are, with a consistent and controlled experience.
The HAC model differs from the previous NVR model for:
- Integrated local video management system
- Monitoring via Ajax apps for smartphones and desktops
- HDMI port to connect a screen
- Two USB ports for a keyboard, mouse, or flash drive
- Silent active cooling
8 channels 4K: wide compatibility with resolutions up to 8MP
The NVR supports many recording resolutions (from 8MP to lighter formats like 720p or 1024×576). The decoding capacity for viewing/management varies depending on the resolution:
- 1 channel at 8MP
- 3 channels at 5MP
- 4 channels at 4MP
- up to 8 channels at lighter resolutions (e.g., 720p or 1024×576)
Additionally, the resolution for a single channel cannot exceed 4096 pixels on the long or short side: a useful detail for verifying compatibility with very particular cameras.
Advanced codecs: H.265, H.264, and JetSparrow
Compatibility with H.265 and H.264 allows balancing quality, bandwidth, and disk space. The addition of the JetSparrow format expands options in Ajax ecosystems, maintaining a smooth experience and efficient archive, especially when managing multiple streams simultaneously.
Motion detection and AI: smarter events, fewer false alarms
Ajax NVR HAC integrates software for motion detection: the image can be analyzed by the NVR's algorithms or by the camera, selecting the option directly in the Ajax app. For object detection with AI, support is provided on 8 channels with Ajax cameras, so you can get more targeted alerts (and a "cleaner" archive), reducing unnecessary recordings and simplifying event searches.
HDMI + USB: a complete control station
With 1 HDMI output and 2 USB 2.0 ports, the NVR can become a true monitoring station: connect monitor, mouse, and keyboard and manage everything on-site. It is the ideal solution for receptions, concierge desks, security offices, and retail points, where immediate and continuous viewing is needed.
Storage up to 16 TB: space for extended recordings
The 1× SATA slot supports a 3.5” drive up to 16 TB (not included). This capacity allows sizing the archive based on the number of cameras, resolution, and type of recording (continuous or event-based), offering flexibility for both small systems and more structured installations.
Silent active cooling: 24/7 reliability
For a device that works 24/7, thermal management is essential. Ajax NVR HAC integrates silent active cooling, designed to maintain stability and longevity over time without introducing annoying noises in environments like offices or reception areas.
