PLANET GSW-2620HP, an ideal Gigabit PoE switch, offers a cost-effective advantage to SMB local area networks. Offering Layer 2 data packet switching and stable operation, this model is also IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) compliant at an affordable price. The GSW-2620HP features 24 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2 1000BASE-X SFP interfaces with internal power supply system. Its 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports are integrated with an 802.3at PoE+ injector function. It offers a rack-mountable, secure and reliable power solution for SMBs deploying Power over Ethernet networks.

The IEEE 802.3at/af-compliant PoE inline power supply makes the GSW-2620HP capable of delivering Gigabit-speed data and up to 30 watts of power per port to 24 PoE-compliant powered devices (PDs) with a combined output budget of up to 240 watts. The GSW-2620HP offers more flexibility in power requirements for all types of PDs with cost-effective installation costs.

The built-inrobust DIP switch provides "Standard," "VLAN," and "Extend" operating modes. The GSW-2620HP operates as a standard IEEE 802.3at PoE+ switch in the "Standard" operating mode.

The "VLAN" operating mode has a port-based VLAN function that helps prevent the mutual influence of multicast or IP camera broadcast storm.

In the "Extend" operating mode, the GSW-2620HP operates on a per-port basis with 10 Mbps duplex operation, but supports a 22-watt PoE power output over a distance of up to 250 meters, exceeding the 100 m limit on the UTP Ethernet cable. With this brand new feature, the GSW-2620HP provides an additional solution for 802.3at PoE+ distance extension, saving the cost of Ethernet cable installation.

By providing data transfer and high PoE in a single unit, the GSW-2620HP can reduce the need for extended cables and electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or anywhere unreachable. It helps reduce installation costs and simplify installation effort. All RJ45 copper interfaces of the GSW-2620HP support 10/100/1000Mbps auto-negotiation for optimal speed detection via RJ45 category 6, 5 or 5e cables. It also supports the auto-MDI/MDI-X standard that can detect the connection type to any Ethernet device without requiring special straight-through or crossover cables.

The two mini-GBIC slots built into the GSW-2620HP are compatible with the 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) fiber transceiver, which is uplinked to the backbone switch and long-distance monitoring center. The distance can be extended from 550 meters (multi-mode fiber) to 10/20/30/40/50/50/60/70/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). They are suitable for applications within data centers and enterprise deployments.

By providing 24 PoE inline power interfaces, the GSW-2620HP can easily create a power where IP phone system, IP camera system and wireless AP group for enterprises can be centrally controlled.
