Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor two-way curtain detector
DualCurtain Outdoor monitors the perimeter without creating obstacles to people already inside. Two independent optical systems with narrow field-of-view sectors and flexible settings allow accurate adjustment of 30 meters of detection range, ruling out possible sources of false alarms. ELSA's unique ELSA software responds to intruders by ruling out triggers such as natural interference and pets.
Detection
On the sides of the detector are two optical systems with narrow field-of-view sector, each equipped with two PIR sensors. Thanks to thermal compensation, detection is always accurate. The sensor signals are analyzed by our new digital ELSA algorithm. The detector activates the alarm only if two sensors in the same optical system simultaneously detect the movement of people.
Adjustment of the area to be protected
DualCurtain Outdoor features technology that expands the protected area-a unique feature among outdoor curtain motion detectors. When Near Area Detection is activated, the detector's upper PIR sensor receives an additional narrow sector of vision, directed at a 40-degree angle downward from the main one. This feature allows both sensors to detect motion when a person crosses the protected perimeter near the body of the device, solving the blind spot problem that is typical of such detectors.
Near Area Detection is designed to protect windows and other passages that animals do not have access to. The proximity of detection zones significantly reduces the efficiency of pet immunity.
Two independently adjustable detection radius
The detection radius of the two optical systems is independently adjustable. This allows you to precisely set the perimeter protected by DualCurtain Outdoor and avoid false alarms caused by a bush moving in the wind or people passing by on a public sidewalk. To avoid the detector's field of view being blocked by a column or downspout on a facade, optical systems can be oriented horizontally.. Within the app it is possible to adjust the sensitivity or disable one of the optical systems.
Anti-sabotage
DualCurtain Outdoor cannot be imperceptibly obscured or disabled even if the security system is turned off. The detector's optical systems are reinforced with sensors with advanced anti-masking that respond to obstacles, cover, and lens painting. The anti-tampering mechanism will not allow the device to be removed from the stand unnoticed. And even in the event that the detector is instantly destroyed, the hub takes less than a minute to detect the loss of communication and inform a monitoring station and users of the problem.
Communication system
Jeweller radio protocol to ensure uninterrupted operation of all devices within the security system. The radio protocol uses time frames to synchronize the communication of connected devices, authentication to eliminate forgery, and encryption to protect against hacking:

Battery life

Easy installation
DualCurtain Outdoor's connection and configuration process saves the installation engineer time in the best way possible. To add a detector to the system, simply scan the QR code with the Ajax app and assign it a name and a room. You can configure the device in real time while testing detection zones and communication. If necessary, the detector can be disabled or system parameters can be reconfigured remotely, without on-site intervention.
