RM press fittings are suitable for use in hot and cold water distribution systems for sanitary use or heating/cooling. The wide range of available shapes and sizes supported by the components of the systems known for a long time and usually used, allows to solve any problem on site in traditional or manifold distribution, depending on the needs dictated by space constraints, technical or economic choices, using PEX, Pb or multilayer pipes.
The main features are
- improved sealing performance thanks to a new fitting profile
- possibility of pressing with various types of clamps (multi-gripper fitting).
The design and production of the fittings has been carried out with attention to the smallest details, giving particular reliability to the components in order to facilitate the work of the installer by putting him in conditions of maximum safety.
The main features include the stainless steel sleeve with countersink to facilitate pipe entry, the sleeve stop ring for visual control of the correct insertion of the pipe to be connected (a necessary condition to ensure firm pressing), the insulating septum for multilayer pipe joints (the aluminium film, as we know, can affect the connection fittings due to electrochemical phenomena).
The fittings are supplied fully assembled and the size of the corresponding pipes is clearly marked on the sleeve. In the case of installations under trace, avoid contact between the cement mixture and the metal parts of the fitting. It is advisable to make a joint that can be inspected, for example by using a recessed plastic box, or at least insulated with respect to the structure and free to expand, so that chemical reactions on the metal surfaces and stresses due to thermal expansion are avoided
