Product Overview:

  • N6 metal-sealed clapet check valves are one-way operating devices, i.e., they prevent the return of pressurized fluid. They find natural use in domestic water systems, water superelevation, firefighting, heating systems, thermal power plants, solar systems, industrial and agricultural water systems in general. Internal hydraulic sealing is carried out by means of the forces exerted by the mass of a tilting plug and the pressure of the liquid above a gasket, which implements the seal even at minimal back pressures
  • Since such valves operate by means of the gravitational force acting on the rocker plug (clapet or clapper), they have no universal characteristic as far as positioning is concerned. The advantage of these valves is the low pressure drop possessed due to the rounded shape of the body and the large passage cross-section obtained from the oscillation of the plug; these elements also make them very quiet.

Technical data:

  • Compatible fluids: water for thermal systems, domestic water, glycol water (max. 30 % glycol)
  • Connections: female threaded ISO 228
  • Temperature range: 5÷95 °C (110 °C for occasional peaks)
  • Maximum operating pressure: 16 bar
  • Opening pressure: 0.05 bar

Materials:

  • Valve body: brass UNI EN 12165 - CW617N (3/8÷1)
  • Cap: brass UNI EN 12165 - CW617N
  • O-ring: NBR
  • Clapper: brass UNI EN 12165 - CW617N

Installation:

  • Clapet check valves can be installed horizontally or vertically respecting the flow direction indicated by the arrow stamped on the valve body. In the horizontal position the valve must be installed with the inspection cap facing upward, otherwise the valve cannot operate. In the vertical position, the valve operates only with the upward flow direction. Installation on pipes is done by threads, using normal plumbing practices.
