The multifunctional sanitary tank has the advantage of being able to be installed both as an expansion vessel in heating systems, thus suitable for absorbing volume changes caused by temperature rise, and as an autoclave in sanitary systems.
Multifunctional fixed membrane sanitary tanks have the merit of being able to be used both as expansion vessels in hot water systems or heating systems, thus suitable for absorbing volume changes caused by temperature rise, and as autoclaves in cold water sanitary systems.
This dual use is made possible by the protective liner with patented fastening system that ensures corrosion protection of the inner tank wall and suitability for contact with sanitary water.
In installations in sanitary systems, the vessel should be connected to the cold water inlet (not the hot water outlet).
The Elbi DP-24 24-liter multipurpose tank is designed for a wide range of applications, making it ideal as:
- expansion vessel for domestic hot water (DHW) systems
- element for heating and air conditioning systems
- autoclave in cold potable water systems
- water hammer attenuator in pressurization systems
With its fixed internal membrane and patented butyl protective sheath, it provides a double barrier against corrosion, protecting the water from contact with the metal tank walls.
Hygienic materials and durable construction
The tank is equipped with a stainless steel fitting, which ensures maximum water wholesomeness, making it suitable for use with potable water. The presence of the self-locking octagonal nut greatly simplifies installation, while the double seal system on the seam ensures high mechanical strength and hydraulic seal.
Safety and Certifications
The Elbi DP-24 model complies with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and is CE approved. Also available in DP-24/16 version with a maximum pressure of 10 bar, for systems with higher requirements. The standard precharge pressure is set at 2.5 bar. A product that combines safety, construction quality and reliability over time.
