The BW-SRO/N is a wireless outdoor siren designed for installation in situations where the use of cables is difficult or impossible.
Whenever the siren receives an alarm signal from the control panel, it emits an acoustic signal and the flasher is activated. In the event of extraordinary acts such as tampering, eradication from the wall or removal of the cover, if the alarm is engaged, the siren will transmit a 'danger' signal to the central unit thus activating the alarm.
Features:
- Siren and flasher activation: the siren activates the beeper and flasher when it receives a signal from a compatible alarm system (BW control panels). Notes: The siren is activated for a predefined "Alarm Time" (refer to the control unit's Instruction Manual), in accordance with local regulations or until the system is switched off, whichever comes first. The flasher operates as described in the Central Unit Installation Manual.
- Sabotage alarm: in the event of tampering while the system is engaged, the siren transmits the alarm to the control panel and then the alarm system determines whether or not the siren should be activated. The siren will operate autonomously if it does not receive an acknowledgement from the alarm system.
- Low battery warning: when the battery voltage is low, a low battery signal is sent to the control unit. After the signal is sent, the siren will be able to signal at least 2 alarms before it becomes completely inactive.
- Power options: non-rechargeable battery. Optional - two non-rechargeable batteries.
- Sound types: intrusion (between 1,400Hz and 3,200Hz), fire, gas/CO and flood.
Input/Output: output time tones are emitted when the user has switched on the system. Input time tones are emitted when the user has entered the protected area. (Input/output tones can be enabled/disabled from the Installation menu of the control unit). - Signalling with high-pitched sounds: high-pitched sounds (tone) can be used to signal alarm system arming (1 sound) and disarming (2 sounds) via a remote control unit (this function can be enabled from the control unit's User menu)
Siren activity LED: a flashing LED (optional, at the base of the front panel of the siren) indicates siren activity (can be disabled by the control unit) - Double sabotage protection: when the siren cover is removed or the siren is removed from the wall, a sabotage alarm is sent to the alarm system. IMPORTANT! The BW-SRO siren must only be installed on the wall in a vertical position with the locking screw facing downwards, as shown in Figure 1b. The importance of correct positioning of the BW-SRO is to ensure the siren's watertightness.
- Full two-way supervision: This siren is a device with fully supervised two-way communication. It is equipped with a receiver to receive activation signals from the alarm system and a transmitter to periodically transmit status information to the alarm system.
