The heart of the ABB smart home: communication and automation in a single device
The ABB hands-free video intercom M2249-2W-04 represents an all-in-one solution for managing home security and automation through a single compact and elegant panel. Equipped with a 7-inch IPS display, it is designed to serve as the central indoor station in ABB-Welcome® (2-wire) and ABB-free@home® systems, combining home automation, video intercom, and remote control functions.
Maximum integration with the ABB ecosystem
The device acts as a control panel for the entire free@home® system, thanks to the integrated wireless access point, allowing the management of up to 150 devices. It is possible to control:
- Lighting (on/off, dimmer, RGBW)
- Shutters and blinds
- Heating and air conditioning
- Custom scenes
- Switches and status displays
Commissioning is simple and can be done via web interface, mobile app, or ad hoc Wi-Fi, without the need for additional software.
Advanced video intercom and smart features
Connected to the ABB-Welcome® system, the M2249-2W-04 allows viewing of the external station video, hands-free communication, and recording of visitor images. In the absence of a response, up to three photos are automatically saved in memory. It is also possible to differentiate call tones between intercom and floor, choosing from five polyphonic ringtones.
Thanks to the integrated magnetic induction module, the audio signal can also be transmitted to hearing-impaired acoustic devices.
Smart connectivity and mobile management
The M2249-2W-04 connects to the home network via Wi-Fi or LAN and allows integration with smartphones and tablets thanks to the OneApp / free@home next / Welcome App, transforming it into a mobile audio-video station.
Additionally, it supports integration with ONVIF IP cameras, which can be set as the main video sources in case of a call.
