This product purges impurities deposited at the bottom of the bowl to remove sand and foreign matter up to a grain size of 100 microns from the water in order to prevent point corrosion and damage to piping, equipment and valves.
Suitable for filtration of water for drinking, technological and process use.
Water, regardless of its origin (well, spring or aqueduct), always contains foreign bodies such as grains of sand, metal flakes, rust and other impurities that, penetrating into the system, cause point corrosions that can perforate the pipes, as well as damage the valves, faucets and all appliances connected to the hydraulic network. To avoid such problems, it is prescribed by UNI CTI 8065 and DM No. 37/08 to install a safety desander filter that can prevent damage to the systems. The material from which the filters are made is of the highest quality, complying with DM No. 174/04 and able to withstand wear and tear over time.
Installation: The installation of the device must comply with current regulations and must be carried out by a qualified installer in accordance with Ministerial Decree No. 37/08. Cillit® Mini Protectors are installed on the cold water piping entering from the waterworks, or in the hot water piping upstream of the system to be protected. The fiitrant elements, 100 microns in size, can be washed, reused and when worn out replaced. Through the drain tap, impurities that have settled to the bottom of the bowl can be purged periodically.
There is a pressure reducer in the filter body, which, thanks to the adjustable compression spring with a large-surface diaphragm, allows the pressure downstream of the filter to be conveniently adjusted from 2 to 6 bar, thus protecting the systems from excessive pressures that could cause ruptures.
