Elofit high-density polyethylene fittings predominantly use the technology and method of joining through the electrofusion process. This welding process involves housing electrical resistors inside the electrofusion fittings that are connected to the outside by two lugs.

 

By connecting to the two ends of the resistor a welding machine capable of supplying energy to the fitting, a certain voltage is created in a set time. The resistor converts the received current into heat so that the polyethylene of the pipe with that of the fitting fuse into a monolithic system. After cooling, a homogeneous, robust, safe and reliable connection is then obtained over time.

 

ELOFIT is a system of electrofusion-weldable high-density polyethylene fittings and special pieces for transporting pressurized water and pressurized fluids in general.

 

Each fitting in this range is conceived, designed and manufactured in accordance with strict international standards such as:

• UNI EN 1555, which regulates plastic piping systems for the transport and distribution of combustible gases
• UNI EN 12201, which defines plastic piping systems suitable for water distribution
• UNI EN ISO 15494, which regulates plastic material systems suitable for industrial applications
  
   

All items in the Elofit range are also made of non-toxic materials in accordance with Ministerial Decree 174 of April 06, 2004 for the transport of drinking water.
