Use:
- ALIMAT fill valves, inserted between the water supply and the heating system, ensure fast and automatic replenishment of water, which may have been lost from the system, and keep the downstream pressure stable at a set operating value. The valves are equipped at the bottom with a manual tap that allows the water supply to the system to be shut off; a check valve built into the body protects against possible flow reversals that could cause pollution of the water supply.
Operation:
- When the pressure exerted by the fluid inside the system falls below the pressure exerted by the ALIMAT feeder spring on the diaphragm (5), the spring itself pushes the plug downward. Mains water enters from the inlet (E), passes through the filter cartridge (9), rises into the chamber (10), opens the check valve and flows to the system. When the filling of the system is completed, the pressure increases in the system itself and, consequently, in the chamber. Once the equilibrium value is exceeded by the force exerted by the counter spring, the pressure pushes the diaphragm upward and the plug closes. The check valve (6) prevents the flow from being reversed. The pressure then stabilizes at the spring setting value.
