Single-core cable FG18OM16: maximum safety for high-reliability systems
The single-core power cable FG18OM16 black is designed for energy transmission in systems with a nominal voltage of 0.6/1 kV, with high safety requirements in case of fire. Thanks to the LS0H (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath and the fire behavior certified class CPR B2ca-s1a, d1, a1, it represents an ideal choice for installations in public or industrial environments with a high fire risk.
Quality construction for high performance
The cable consists of a flexible red copper conductor, class 5, with a diameter of 6.2 mm, insulated with G18 quality rubber and protected by an LS0H thermoplastic sheath of M16 quality, with an average sheath thickness of 1.4 mm. The maximum outer diameter is 15.6 mm, while the indicative weight is 330 kg/km.
This structure ensures a maximum electrical resistance of 0.780 Ω/km at 20°C, ensuring excellent conductivity and durability over time.
Versatile installation and compliance with regulations
The FG18OM16 cable is suitable for fixed installation:
- In free air
- In pipe or duct
- On masonry and metal structures
- In indoor or outdoor environments, even wet
The reference ambient temperature (30°C) allows a capacity in air up to 141 A, while in pipe it is 117 A.
Applications in high-risk environments
Thanks to its high fire resistance and low emission of toxic or corrosive fumes, this cable is particularly suitable for installations in:
- Airports and air terminals
- Railway and subway stations
- Road and railway tunnels
- Areas with high crowd density or long evacuation times
