The differential blocks are mechanically designed to prevent a wrong coupling between the block and the circuit breaker: the power of the block must always be equal or greater than that of the circuit breaker. The lateral plastic clamp allows a quicker assembly of the block on the circuit breaker and a push button prevents possible interventions.
It is used to protect human health in case of earth fault (electrical leakage) or phase-to-earth electrocution, thus providing protection also against macro electrical shock, both direct and indirect, on exposed persons.
The residual current circuit breakertype A-S: selective or delayed residual current circuit breakers: they operate with intentional delay (like type A).
