ABB OT40G1-4BSN2: professional disconnection for LV panels

The ABB OT40G1-4BSN2 disconnector from the OT Plus series is designed to create tidy and safe panels, offering a clear and reliable disconnection up to 40 A. The 4P configuration is ideal for three-phase networks with neutral or for systems where you want to interrupt all conductors simultaneously, improving safety during maintenance phases and reducing the risks of returns or residual power supplies.

Thanks to mounting on base or DIN rail, it adapts to multiple scenarios: distribution boards, auxiliary lines, disconnection of dedicated utilities, and small industrial installations.

Switched fourth pole: correct sequence in operations

The device features the fourth pole on the right side, of the switched type with late-break / early-make function. In practice, the switched pole (often the neutral) opens last and closes first, improving the management of the disconnection sequence and reducing possible transient conditions during the opening/closing of the circuit. It is a useful feature especially in panels where the correct operation of the neutral is important for reliability and safety.

Electrical performance: AC-23A for loads in operation

The disconnector is suitable for the main categories of use, making it usable for both lines and loads:

  • AC-21A: 40 A @ 415/690 V

  • AC-22A: 40 A @ 415/690 V

  • AC-23A: 40 A @ 415 V and 25 A @ 690 V
