The console is a slim control device with a modern, elegant design. The function of this console is to remote the keypad/display that is present on the PROTEC4GSM and PROTEC8GSM control units. By operating on this console, it is possible to execute all the commands available on the control unit. In addition, this device is equipped with a convenient RFID proximity reader. This console has been designed with an innovative design, created to be installed in any type of domestic environment. The console functions as a remote control panel keypad and allows all functions that are available on the control panel keypad to be executed. WORKING PRINCIPLE: The DG12 works in 'dual technology', which means that only if both technologies (Infrared and Microwave) detect a real intrusion is an alarm given. This avoids false alarms due to activation of the infrared sensor only (sometimes caused e.g. by sunlight) or the microwave sensor only (sometimes caused e.g. by moving objects).

ANTI-MASKING: In the event of a prolonged alarm of one of the two technologies, and in the absence of detection of the other, the DG12 activates a continuous alarm state, signalled by the flashing red LED and the open zone contact, a state which remains until both technologies resume correct operation. In this way, if, for example, the infrared sensor is masked by thermally isolating it, but the microwave sensor continues to be repeatedly alarmed, the detector goes into a continuous alarm state which triggers the burglar alarm control panel.

ANTIMANOMISSION: If the DG12 detects a presence very close to the detector (approximately 40cm) it will go into a continuous alarm state, signalled by the flashing of the red LED and the opening of the zone contact. Also in this case, if after a few seconds, both technologies resume detecting presence at a greater distance, and are therefore operating normally, the detector resumes its normal operation.

INSTALLATION:

• Remove the electronic circuit from the enclosure by levering it sideways with a tool and hook the joint to the base of the enclosure after passing it through the retaining ring
• Use the extension for the joint in the case of ceiling mounting
• Cover the unused hole on the base of the with the supplied mat
• Fix the base of the joint on a smooth, level surface that is not subject to vibration, covering the hole for the passage of the electrical cables for connection to the control unit, using the plugs supplied
• Pass the electrical cables through the hole in the joint and attach the fixing ring to the base
• Once installed and oriented in the desired position, it will be possible to lock the detector by fully rotating the locking ring
• Reposition the circuit on the base of the enclosure and make the electrical connections
• It is possible to mount the detector at an angle (in this case do not use the joint, but drill two holes on the enclosure for fixing on the sides
• Do not point the detector towards objects that could produce rapid temperature changes such as radiators, electric radiators, air conditioners, open flames, etc.
