VAT Number and VIES Verification

WHAT IS VIES AND WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?

VIES (VAT Information Exchange System) is the European Commission's electronic system that verifies the validity of EU intra-community VAT numbers in real time.
If the verification is positive, the cart will be displayed directly without VAT, automatically and without further steps.

HOW TO PROCEED WITH VERIFICATION

With just a few steps, you can perform VIES verification independently at checkout when entering billing data.

1. Enter all required data, including your VAT number
2. Click "Confirm data"

Positive result: the cart will be displayed automatically and immediately without VAT
Negative result: Italian VAT at 22% will be displayed

Attention: Verify that the VAT number is correct before confirming and that it is registered for intra-community transactions.
N.b. Data must match exactly the ones in the VIES system

WHAT IS REVERSE CHARGE?

If the VAT number entered is valid during VIES verification, payment will proceed using Reverse Charge. VAT will therefore not be charged in the payment, and it will be the customer's responsibility to self-assess and pay it in their reference country according to local regulations.

CUSTOMER RESPONSABILITY

Pursuant to art. 41, Legislative Decree 331/93, the customer is responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of the VAT number data entered. The use of an unauthorized or invalid VAT number constitutes a violation of European tax regulations and may result in penalties.

The customer is exempt from paying duties and customs charges. Elettronew will bear the full cost.

Priority Items

All availability of articles shown on Elettronew relates to products already in our warehouses. Products stocked in the main warehouse, where we are based, are defined as PRIORITY, as they are immediately available for shipment.

What is the difference between Available Items and Priority Items?

For Priority items, as they are ready for dispatch immediately, we can guarantee that our team in the warehouse will prepare the parcel and hand it over to the courier on the same day if the order has been placed by 11 a.m. Priority orders placed after this time will be handed over to the courier the following morning. For standard products, however, it may take 1-2 additional business days for the product to arrive from one of our other warehouses.
The indicated timelines are to be understood as business days. In the case of weekends or holidays, the entire process will be postponed to the next available business day.

Shipping for Priority items will therefore be faster?

Shipping times will depend on the shipment method you have chosen. What we do ensure is that we will hand the parcel over to the courier within the same day, but the delivery time depends on the shipping method you choose at the checkout. Therefore, if you choose an Economy shipment, delivery will take longer than with an Express shipment.

What happens if I have one standard and two Priority items in my cart?

The timeframe for completing the package to be shipped is to be aligned with the slowest product to be sourced. Therefore, if there is a standard product in the order, the timeframe for handing the parcel over to the courier will be that of the product arriving from another of our warehouses.

Why the standard product takes longer to be shipped?

The standard product is in one of our warehouses in Italy, but not in the main warehouse. We therefore need a few extra days to wait for the product to move from the initial warehouse to our main warehouse. This is an essential step for us to verify the quality and condition of the product before shipping it to the customer.

Are there additional costs for shipping Priority items?

No, the service is free of charge.

What payment methods are accepted to take advantage of immediate shipping for Priority products?

All the payment methods available on Elettronew are suitable, except for bank transfer. In this case, you will have to wait for the bank transfer to be received before shipping. The waiting time will therefore be extended by a few days. The situation is also similar in the case of instant transfer due to administrative procedures. If payment is made by bank wire, the products will only be committed upon receipt of a copy of the bank transfer. There may therefore be discrepancies in availability compared to the time of order placement.

Customise delivery with the courier: Pick-up point available!

With the selected shipping method, you can customise the delivery of your order, choosing from several options designed to give you the best convenience and flexibility.

Following the completion of your order, you will receive an email from the courier in the evening, which includes a direct link to the customisation options. Thanks to this email, you will be able to decide whether to have your parcel delivered to the nearest Pick-up Point to your home or, alternatively, to schedule a home delivery by choosing the day that you prefer.

This way of management allows you not only to have more control over the delivery process, but also to better organise yourself according to your daily schedule, avoiding unnecessary delays or inconveniences.
